In Belén de Escobar, specifically in the Philips neighborhood, a robbery took place on Tuesday night at the supermarket 'La Torre' located on Paseo de Julio street at the height of Asborno. Two criminals, one man and one woman armed with a shotgun, threatened employees and three customers for several minutes around 8:15 PM.

Less than 48 hours after the incident, the Police managed to detain a 29-year-old woman allegedly involved in the robbery. Currently, her accomplice remains at large, although the authorities in charge of the investigation have indications that his capture is imminent. During the criminal act, the perpetrators stole a cash register from the establishment and a bag containing cuts of meat.

Four raids were carried out in the locality in relation to this case. Various police units, such as Escobar Police Station 1°, the Departmental Security Police Station (EPDS) Escobar, the Tactical Operational Group (GTO), and the Escobar Patrol Command, along with the SUBDDI Escobar, are conducting operations to clarify the event, but have refrained from providing additional details in order not to hinder the investigation.

The investigation is being handled by UFI No. 5 and the Guarantee Court No. 3 of Escobar. A significant advance in the case is expected in the coming hours, providing greater clarity on what happened at the supermarket 'La Torre' during the robbery.
